Openoffice is an alternative to the expensive Microsoft Office Suite, modern computer users that wish to use gmail, an iPad and have an android phone likely will have a more versatile office suite with Open Office to their benefit. There are tradeoffs to using the powerful but less well known Openoffice suite and the widely accepted but expensive and targetted to Windows Microsoft Office Suite.

Openoffice users can be trained to create templates for Invoices, Proposals, estimates and agreements. Openoffice equivalents of Microsoft Office products include Writer for Word processing, Calc for Spreadsheets like Excel, Impress to read and write Powerpoint slideshows, capable of similar presentations, Base as an alternative to the embarrassing Access for Database applications and Draw for Drawing and desktop publishing. Also included are modules called Formula for Math equations
